xPauline Williams originally came to Bangor to study Marine Zoology and subsequently obtained a social work qualification at Bristol University. In the late 1970s she worked in a child-care team in Gwynedd and worked with Judy Hutchings with a number of families. This was her first contact with many of the principles which underpin the Incredible Years programmes. She then moved to Child Guidance where she was able to apply these principles, particularly in her work supporting families who were experiencing behavioural problems with young children. She also worked in Further Education for a number of years and became the Programme Leader for the Diploma in Social Work in Coleg Menai. She then moved to Conwy as a training officer where she co-led two Incredible years parenting programmes for foster carers and gained accreditation as a group leader. Most recently she has worked within  the Welsh Govenrment as Learning Manager for CAFCASS Cymru; she has now retired and is keen to remain involved with the important work that this Trust supports.
